So, so beyond excited to start reading The Ten Thousand Doors of January by Alex E. Harrow! This is her debut novel and it sounds so enticing (plus she's hilarious on Twitter, so that's always a good sign)!

Synopsis (front cover blurb):

"When one enters a door, one must be brave enough to see the other side."

In a sprawling mansion filled with peculiar treasures, January Scaller is a curiosity herself. As the ward of the wealthy Mr. Locke, she feels little different from the artifacts that decorate the halls: carefully maintained, largely ignored, and utterly out of place.

Then she finds a strange book. A book that carries the scent of other worlds, and tells a tale of secret doors, of love, adventure, and danger. Each page turn reveals impossible truths about the world, and January discovers a story increasingly entwined with her own.

About the Author (back cover blurb):

Alix E. Harrow is an ex-historian with lots of opinions and excessive library fines, currently living in Kentucky with her husband and their semi-feral children. Her short fiction has been nominated for the Hugo, Nebula, and Locus Awards. The Ten Thousand Doors of January is her debut novel.
